Phase 1 Schemes

  • The Emirati Salary Support Scheme provides additional financial assistance to Emirati professionals working in the private sector, ensuring that they can achieve desired salaries beyond what companies offer, subject to certain limits based on roles, remuneration and sectors.
  • Besides, child Benefit Scheme offers financial assistance to Emirati professionals in the private sector who have children and earn a salary of less than AED 50,000, providing AED 600 for each of their up to four children under the age of 21, representing the government’s historical assistance to families.
  • As well, under the Pension Program, Emirati professionals are entitled to a pension to plan for their retirement. Private sector companies must enroll Emirati employees with the General Pensions and Social Security Authority (GPSSA), contributing 5% of their salaries to the pension fund, with an additional 2.5% from the government.
  • So, the Job Vacancies program creates a unified platform to post job opportunities for Emiratis in the private sector, helping unemployed nationals find suitable employment opportunities.
  • Also, the unemployment allowance serves as a safety net for Emiratis who lose their private sector employment through no fault of their own, providing them with financial assistance including AED 7,000 for professionals, AED 4,500 for unemployed spouses and up to AED 3,000 for children, subject to specific conditions.

Phase 2 Schemes

  • The Apprentice Program matches Emirati graduates with apprenticeships in private companies, providing work experience and financial incentives to companies that support the graduates’ experience.
  • Also, talent Program offers Emirati nationals in the private sector the opportunity to enhance their skills through international training and certifications in collaboration with institutions such as the Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy and the Center for Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT).
